Qualifications: Experience as a surgical veterinary technician is required. Knowledge of Avimark software is a plus. Candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to critically think and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. The desire to continually advance your knowledge and skills is essential in order to achieve the optimal standard of patient care provided at Vero Beach Veterinary Hospital.
Job duties include, but are not limited to: triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of enteral and parenteral medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, anesthetic management, collecting and recording animal case histories, making appointments, client check in and check out, educating animal owners on home care.
Compensation: Compensation is commensurate with experience. Benefit package includes medical, vision, dental, 401K with employer match, PTO, uniforms, personal pet discounts, quarterly bonus incentives, paid staff outings twice a year, and more.
