Job Summary

Bartenders at Verona Grill are responsible for providing an exceptional level of service to club members in a sophisticated and exclusive environment. You will prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, create unique and personalized cocktails, and maintain a high standard of presentation. As a key member of the team, you will ensure that all members feel valued and their experience exceeds expectations, all while upholding the club’s traditions and atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Exceptional Service:
• Provide personalized, friendly, and discreet service to members and their guests. Establish rapport with regular members, remembering their preferences and special requests.
• Drink Preparation & Presentation:

Prepare and serve high-quality cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages. Follow club-specific recipes and presentations to ensure consistency and excellence.

• Custom Mixology:

Demonstrate expert knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails and craft bespoke drinks for members based on their preferences, tastes, and dietary restrictions.

Engage with members in a professional and personable manner, delivering a memorable experience. Answer questions about the drink menu, recommend beverages, and handle special requests or dietary needs with tact and discretion.

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area at all times. Ensure all tools, glassware, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized according to club standards. Monitor inventory levels and assist in stocking supplies.

Keep track of inventory, order supplies as needed, and ensure that all beverages and ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Assist in the rotation of stock and the receiving of deliveries.

Adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements related to the sale of alcohol, including verifying the age of guests, maintaining responsible alcohol service, and following all health and safety guidelines.

Uphold the club’s code of conduct and maintain a level of discretion and confidentiality that is expected in a private members' environment. Respect members’ privacy and create an atmosphere of exclusivity and elegance.

Assist in the setup, preparation, and service of beverages for club events, including private functions, parties, and gatherings.
Collaborate with event staff to ensure smooth service.

Work closely with other bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff to provide seamless service. Support the team during peak periods, ensuring the bar operates efficiently and members are promptly served.

• Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience in a high-end, private, or exclusive setting, or in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or similar environments.
• Experience with craft cocktails, wine, and premium spirits is a plus.

Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage in professional, friendly, and discreet conversations.
• Strong attention to detail and presentation standards.
• Ability to create bespoke cocktails based on member preferences.
• Knowledge of local alcohol laws and responsible drinking practices.
• Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a busy or high-pressure environment.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently while maintaining high standards of service.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs (e.g., cases of liquor, glassware).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment during peak hours.
• Certifications:
• Bartender certification or alcohol service certification may be required, depending on local laws (e.g., TIPS, ServeSafe Alcohol, or similar).
• CPR and First Aid certification may be beneficial.

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as the club operates during various hours and special events.

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly wage, plus tips.
