Verona Pharma is currently recruiting a Commercial Analyst to join our team, reporting to the Senior Director, Market Research & Forecasting. In the role of Commercial Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Commercial departments as a whole. You will play a key role in providing data insights, analytical guidance, and strategic operational support for the team as well as cross-functionally within the organization.
To be successful in this role, you must transform data, both qualitative and quantitative, into clear and actionable insight. You will work closely with patient services, marketing, sales operations, IT, finance, and other stakeholders to support strategic and tactical decision-making through the delivery of analytics that informs key issues and customer needs for sales & market access.

Remote working and flexibility are important parts of our culture at Verona. However, we are looking for candidates based in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area as you will periodically be required to go into the Raleigh office for key meetings, training, and other activities as needed.
What You'll Do:
- Optimize Tools & Training: Ensure Commercial teams' tools and reporting are efficient and provide necessary training for team members and leadership.
- Deliver Insights & Reports: Provide actionable reports and collaborate to drive business insights.
- Develop BI Solutions: Design and implement reporting tools, data models, and dashboards to support business needs.
- Lead Compensation & Incentives: Manage MBOs, sales compensation, and related inquiries for Commercial teams.
- Support Business Strategy: Assist with HCP segmentation, territory planning, targeting, and business planning.
- Leverage Analytics & Market Research: Use advanced analytics and market research to inform strategic decisions.
- Drive Commercial Culture & Innovation: Foster a competitive, insights-driven culture and challenge the status quo.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree required; equivalent education/experience may be considered.
- Sales & Commercial Operations: 2-3 years in sales operations or 1 year in pharma, with experience in analytics, reporting, and business planning.
- Analytical & BI Skills: Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, with expertise in BI platforms (Power BI preferred).
- Collaboration & Influence: Strong ability to collaborate, influence stakeholders, and serve as a strategic partner to commercial leadership.
- Communication & Presentation: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Technical & Industry Knowledge: Proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel & PowerPoint), and familiarity with pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony).
- Project & Travel Requirements: Ability to manage multiple projects; 25% business travel required by plane or car.
