What are the responsibilities and job description for the Allocation Manager position at Veronica Beard?
Overview:
Veronica Beard is seeking an experienced and innovative Allocation Manager. This person will work in partnership with the SVP, Global Planning to build out our allocation team and effectively scale to support our growing DTC business. The Allocation Manager will be instrumental in providing direction for allocation team member development while helping set strong parameters for omni-channel inventory management.
Responsibilities:
- Enhance initial allocations and weekly replenishment process to maximize efficiencies and ensure product is in the right location at the right time
- Manage and develop allocation team and work with SVP in developing future org structure and staffing plans
- Partner with planning team and allocators to optimize inventory by channel and warehouse, ensuring STs exceed target, and WOS is appropriate for each location
- Understand store profiles, cluster and climate strategies and partner with buying and planning to build optimal initial allocation strategies
- Work with visual merchandising and planning to understand FOH and BOH capacity limitations
- Partner with planning and logistics to create weekly shipping and RTV forecasts
- Set monthly receipt targets by location and analyze weekly reporting to anticipate shifts in receipts needed to support ideal sales vs. stock ratios
- Partner with logistics to ensure product is picked, shipped and received as expected, flagging issues if any should arise
- Work closely with retail field teams to review product/sizing requests and determine where replenishment or other opportunities to test inventory exist
- Create size profiles by location and review monthly to identify adjustment opportunities throughout the year based on sales performance vs. receipts and STs
- Monitor CORE sales performance vs. forecast and reassess model stock needs in partnership with planning
- Partner with planning and INTL wholesale to monitor INTL warehouse inventory levels to optimize throughout the year, initiating global transfers if necessary while limiting global excess
- Support integration and roll out of new allocation tool once selected
- Provide replenishment support and coverage as required during team expansion, travel, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 6-8 years’ experience in planning and allocation
- Experience within a multi-channel apparel and footwear brand a plus
- Managerial experience a plus
- Advanced Excel skills
- Comprehensive understanding of retail math
- Strong analytical, planning, and critical thinking skills
- Keen interest in diving deeper
- Meticulous, organized, and able to multi-task
- Ability to take initiative and be accountable
The salary range for this role is between $105,000 and $115,000. The relevant salary range will vary depending on wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, degrees, and certifications. Salary : $105,000 - $115,000
