- Provide leadership and direction to the PCU nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, to ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols for the PCU, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Conduct regular rounds to assess patient care needs, address concerns, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee staff scheduling, assignments, and staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient-staff ratios.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and ongoing education to nursing staff to promote professional growth and development.
- Participate in performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and recruitment efforts for PCU nursing staff.
- Manage budgetary and resource allocation for the PCU, including equipment, supplies, and staffing expenses.
