• Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, promoting professional development and ensuring adherence to clinical best practices.
• Oversee the daily operations of the unit, including staffing, scheduling, and resource management, to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
• Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care.
• Assist in the development and management of the unit's budget, ensuring the effective use of resources while maintaining high standards of care.
• Maintain open and effective communication with staff, patients, families, and other healthcare providers, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
• Address and resolve issues related to patient care, staff performance, and operational challenges in a timely and effective manner.
• Stay updated with the latest nursing practices and healthcare trends, and lead efforts to integrate new knowledge and techniques into the unit's practice.Candidate requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is required; Master's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
