Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as an JPC Support Engineer. As a Support Engineer, you will support infrastructure deployments, application management, automation, and systems integration. The candidate will support proprietary and third-party applications, file/data transfers, printing, and other processes. As a Support Engineer shall also perform data analysis and quality control assessments of image review processes and outputs. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities for this position will include:
- Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or technical questions; train end users and technical support staff as required.
- Evaluate, install, and configure computer software, hardware, and operating system software.
- Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues.
- Manage network servers, printers and related infrastructure.
- Set up accounts and workstations.
- Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls.
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
- Evaluate and prioritize customer support cases.
- Produce reports and analysis on data within at the request of the employer and/or the client both independently and/or with Engineering, when needed.
- Perform image quality review on images rejected by JPC or other enforcements and resolve disputes.
- Track work items and report to management on progress and/or risks.
- Work with all internal groups, including support, infrastructure and engineering.
Prepare accurate and timely reports. - Adhere to compliance within contractual service levels.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of meeting contractual service levels and will be able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Technical Support Analyst, Network Administrator, Desktop support professional, or similar role.
- Four (4) years of experience Microsoft back office applications, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, Office 365.
- Three (3) years of experience in Windows Server Administration.
- Three (3) years of experience in Linux Server Administration.
- Two (2) years of experience in BASH, PowerShell, Python.
- Two (2) years of experience in physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructures.
- Experience working with Java or Pega applications.
- Experience with relational database and SQL concepts.
- Experience with containers and container orchestration, Docker, Amazon EKS and Azure AKS.
- Experience in automation tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Knowledge of Azure VNETS, AWS VPCs, Azure Virtual Machines and Amazon EC2, Security groups, NACLS.
