Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Test Technician is responsible for the validation, troubleshooting, testing, and overall quality of Verra’s complex hardware / software systems. This role involves working together with Engineering, Field Operations, and Product teams, to identify and troubleshoot issues with our systems in the field. Hands-on hardware experience, ability to work with various software tools, and basic data analysis abilities are a must for this position.

Hands-on hardware experience, ability to work with various software tools, and basic data analysis abilities are a must for this position.
Essential Responsibilities
- Execute on test and validation plans provided by engineering and product teams, using software tools and remote access to devices
- Identify and thoroughly document any issues or anomalies with Verra’s hardware / software systems
- Perform test and validation work as part of product development, as well as during normal field operations for devices which have been deployed
- Perform basic data analysis around device performance in the field, including documentation of quality issues and nominal baseline performance
- Perform hands-on work with our hardware products, including component swapping, device installation, and hardware troubleshooting
- Prepare and present reports to the broader team around the performance and problems with hardware/software devices
- Configure, calibrate, and otherwise deploy Verra’s devices via software tools and setup guides
- Perform functional tests on electronic components and assemblies and conduct environmental tests to assess product durability under various conditions.
- Investigate quality issues to identify root causes, develop corrective action plans, and maintain detailed records of defects and corrective actions.
- Provide training to operations staff on device calibration, configuration, setup, and installation
- Develop and track quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement and establish a feedback loop with production teams to address quality issues.
- Adhere to company safety, quality, and business policies/procedures
- Perform a range of day-to-day administrative duties and assist with other duties as required.
- Ensure compliance with Verra Mobility’s quality, environmental, and safety standards, and adhere to Safe Work Method Statements and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Promote sustainability and workplace safety through collaboration and proactive reporting of concerns, hazards, incidents, and improvement opportunities.
- Understanding of electronic components, circuits, and hardware testing.
- Ability to work with software configuration and calibration tools provided by Verra
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends or anomalies
- Keen eye for detail to identify defects and ensure precision in testing.
- Ability to identify issues quickly and develop effective solutions.
- Well-developed verbal, listening, comprehension and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet prerequisite employment requirements including Police History, Medical and other relevant role specific checks.
