Basic Salary/Package: $220,000 - $340,000 basic salary plus discretionary bonus comprehensive benefits

Job Description:
I am partnering with a highly regarded, national law firm that is seeking an experienced Project Finance Lawyer to join its dynamic Financial Services practice. This firm, with a solid presence across the U.S., offers an exciting opportunity for a lawyer with at least 3 years of experience in renewable energy project finance transactions, particularly representing lenders or tax equity investors. If you have a strong academic background, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for renewable energy, this position provides the perfect platform for you to work on high-profile, impactful projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Representation of lenders: Your role will include advising on construction financing, term financing, and back-leveraged financing in both bilateral and syndicated transactions.
- Tax equity representation: You will handle complex tax equity structures, including sale-leaseback structures and partnership flip investments.
- You will also be responsible for preparation and negotiation of necessary documentation for various transactions in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.
- Perform diligence regarding site control, revenue contracts, and other essential project documents.
- Provide advice on federal and state tax matters, including restructurings, end-of-term considerations, and residual matters.
- Work with a broad range of project types, including:
- Solar, wind, and Thermal other renewable energy generation facilities
- Transmission systems
- Transportation equipment
- Wastewater treatment facilities and other utility assets.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver creative, strategic solutions for clients, build and maintain strong client relationships, and take an active role in business development.
Job Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in project finance, particularly in renewable energy transactions.
- AM200 experience is desired but not required.
- Admission to the North Carolina State Bar is preferred, but candidates who are eligible to waive in or are willing to take the North Carolina Bar exam are encouraged to apply.
- Strong academic performance and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
