A globally recognized engineering firm is seeking an experienced Senior Marine Structural Engineer / Project Manager to join its growing team in Savannah, GA. This is a high-impact, senior-level role working on complex waterfront infrastructure projects—offering both technical leadership and client-facing responsibilities.
You’ll be involved in major port and marine development programs across the Southeast, with the chance to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams in coastal, marine, and transportation engineering.
🧠What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead structural design and analysis of waterfront and marine structures, including piers, wharves, bulkheads, and foundations
- Oversee and deliver large-scale infrastructure projects ranging from $5M to $150M in construction value
- Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering team growth and technical excellence
- Serve as a technical reviewer for plans, specifications, calculations, and QA/QC processes
- Collaborate across engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution
- Support proposal development and help build long-term client relationships
- Represent the firm in internal and external technical committees, staying active in the industry
🧱 What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s in Structural preferred)
- PE license required; ability to obtain Georgia PE within 6 months
- SE license highly desirable
- 15 years of structural engineering experience, with a focus on marine or waterfront projects
- Advanced knowledge of materials such as concrete, steel, and timber in marine environments
- Proficiency in analysis/design software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro)
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort engaging directly with clients and project stakeholders
