Job summary
This position requires the ability to visually and dimensionally inspect machined, stamped, forged, molded, and cast parts as well as some minor electrical inspection and raw materials at various stages of product manufacturing.
Summary of essential job functions
- Read and understand engineering part drawings.
- Use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges and comparators to measure dimensions.
- Enter inspection data into Epicor ERP.
- Document nonconforming product on Discrepant Material Reports (DMRs) using Epicor ERP.
- Ensure Corrective Actions are implemented and documented in Epicor ERP.
- Use Vision System.
- Continually improve working knowledge of measurement and inspection techniques, technology, manufacturing methods, operational efficiency, and lean manufacturing principles. This position includes all other responsibilities that may be necessary to fulfill the duties associated with the position or as may be assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and technical degree expected; college degree preferred.
- One year inspection experience in a CNC machine shop environment.
- Basic math.
- Basic level computer data entry skills.
- Dependable and a great attitude.
- Proficient in written and spoken English. Ability to lift 40 pounds.
