Versa-Tags, Inc. is seeking an energetic and well-organized self-starter to fill our material handler position. The material handler is responsible for gathering job jackets daily and on an as needed basis throughout the day, pulling raw material sheets and rolls for each job within the job jacket, logging the quantities pulled into EPICOR, and delivering those materials to departments for printing and cutting operations. Additionally, the material handler will be responsible for cutting and slitting roll products into sheets for each department job as needed and will also cut and slit material to desired levels for stock use based on set minimum and maximum levels. The material handler will also assist the stock control specialist and warehouse coordinator daily as needed. Prior forklift experience is preferred, but not required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Pull, count, and deliver material for jobs for our printing and finishing departments as needed using non-powered and powered material handling equipment (carts, hand trucks, battery powered and LP fueled forklifts).
- Convert (pull, stage, slit, and/or sheet) roll materials into usable raw material sheets for printing and cutting stocks and post/update those jobs when completed into EPICOR.
- Conduct end of month inventory by counting all sheeted and roll stock materials assigned.
- Notify purchasing manager of any material discrepancies during daily operations of duties including but not limited to damaged material, incorrect sizes of material, incorrect quantity errors based on raw material labels, etc.
- Pull bad material and place into non-conforming as it occurs and count and report non-conforming material to purchasing manager.
- Coordinate any material location moves, changes, or label needs with the warehouse coordinator.
- Fill material in assigned areas with product stored on racking or other storage areas as needed for pulling duties and notify warehouse coordinator of those changes for update to inventories.
- Assist stock control specialist with storage and counting of stock products.
- Assist warehouse coordinator with raw material moves from our multiple warehouses to the production warehouse.
Position Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Experience working in a production environment is preferred
- Basic Computer Knowledge (Microsoft Office Programs like Excel and Outlook email)
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- Ability to conduct basic mathematic formulas (add, subtract, multiply, divide, etc.)
