About You:

Versana is looking for a motivated DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Engineering squad. The squad’s goal is to manage public cloud, manage and improve DevOps practices and help support Versana’s real-time syndicated loan data platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DevOps practices, cloud-native applications, distributed computing, CI/CD implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate application modernization through DevOps practices and CI/CD toolchain adoption and implementation.
  • Continually optimize systems and workflows by improving architecture, infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, and observability.
  • Ensure the security, availability, performance, change/ incident management, telemetry, and capacity management.
  • Provision high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance using new and existing cloud solutions.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure applications are designed with DevOps best practices in mind.
  • Monitor server health, application performance metric.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Azure cloud infrastructure across the entire stack including network, application, and database layers.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for weekend releases and being available to respond to production issues outside of regular working hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Maintain and enhance disaster recovery strategies and backup procedures to ensure business continuity.


Must Have:
  • 3 years of experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • 3 years of experience in design, develop, test, and management of CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps, Gitlab CI/CD, Github Actions, Jenkins, etc)
  • 3 years of experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, Powershell, etc.
  • 3 years of work experience with Public Cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP)
  • 2 years of experience with Infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Azure Bicep, Cloud Formation, etc.
  • Familiarity with messaging services like Kafka or Azure Eventhubs
  • Experience with monitoring, logging and tracing services (DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with build frameworks (Gradle, Maven, etc)
  • Good understanding of Linux operating system
  • Ability to partner with multi-functional teams and pivot quickly.
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Curiosity and motivation to learn.


Nice to Have:
  • Kubernetes certification or any public cloud certification
  • Experience with Azure cloud or Azure DevOps
  • Experience with Datadog or any other observability tools
  • Familiarity with application development using Java and React

Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
