Versant Diagnostics is a rapidly growing physician services company focused on Digital Anatomic Pathology and is leading the revolution to improve the precision, accuracy, and speed of diagnosis.
We are seeking a top tier Market Development Manager for our West Virginia and Virginia markets with plans for expansion into additional markets.
The ideal candidate will be an organized, self-motivated, experienced professional who enjoys interacting with people. Must demonstrate strong communication skills, good attention to detail and a genuine concern for people. This is an opportunity to build a territory and develop long term relationships with both physicians and their clinics.
Role Description and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated ability to develop, grow, and maintain a rigorous sales pipeline, with accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Generate high-quality sales leads in a geographical area.
- Develop, implement, and execute an effective sales strategy to achieve physician acquisition targets.
- Utilize a variety of mediums to generate new growth and maintain productive relationships with key businesses and organizations within the assigned territory.
- Deliver highest level of sales and customer service to our physicians, patients, and community partners.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically when developing local relationships and sales plans. Must be able to plan 3-6 months in advance and accurately forecast sales performance.
- Develop strategies and enhance relationships with physician offices, specialty group practices and health systems in assigned territory – across all communication (in-person, phone, email, Webinar).
- Effective daily time management and logistics planning to conduct sales activities, balancing travel, presentations, and outreach on daily basis.
- Attend and staff company booth at various regional / national trade shows throughout the year.
- Communicate and collaborate with Vice President of Sales and Marketing on specified quarterly goals and achievements.
- Create and manage an account development plan and report on results
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s preferred degree or equivalent professional sales experience
- Proven diagnostics/lab sales experience (3-5 years) in the greater southwestern Ohio market
- Experience calling on Dermatologists is preferred.
- Prior experience in healthcare sales, outside sales, marketing, and patient outreach strongly preferred.
- Experience selling into provider medical practices is desired.
- Access to personal transportation with a valid driver's license required.
- Travel required within the territory and occasionally to trade shows and sales meetings.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Complies with laws, regulations and company policies and procedures applicable to this role.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
