What are the responsibilities and job description for the Blending Operator-in-Training position at Versatex Building Products LLC?
Versatex Building Products, a leader in cellular PVC trim products, is actively looking for a Blending Operator-in-Training for the 2pm-10pm shift. Versatex Building Products, LLC is a fast growing building products manufacturer located in a state-of-the-art facility in Aliquippa, PA. (Aliquippa Industrial Park). We produce PVC trimboard products and accessories, sold and distributed throughout the country and parts of Canada. To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Communication Skills: Ability to successfully communicate by written or verbal communication. Writing must be legible and neat.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written, oral or diagram instructions.
- Capable of planning production schedule for the week
- Ability to diagnose and fix minor issues without assistance from Product Engineer (Slide Gate Failure, Filter Blow Down issues, Liquid leaks, Motor Failure, Excessive Powder build up, and slide gate PLC wiring)
- Ability to start up and shut down chiller
- Complete understanding of computer and able to navigate through the Blending Program with little to no assistance
The employee is regularly required to perform long periods of standing and walking on cement foundation, climbing stairs and straight ladders, and must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Use of personal protective equipment is required for certain jobs and in specified areas of the plant.
- Willing and able to work flexible shifts if required to meet production needs
- Not afraid of heights
- Ability to work 2pm-10pm shift
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.60 per hour
