Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician

Versatex Building Products, a fast growing cellular PVC Trim Board and Sheet building products manufacturer in Aliquippa, PA, is seeking applicants for a labor intensive Industrial Maintenance Technician position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years repair and maintenance experience in an industrial environment and have a technical training certificate in electricity or an Associates degree.

The focus of this specialized, technically oriented position is on meeting and exceeding high standards of accuracy and quality based on established systems, technologies and guidelines. Strength in technical problem solving based on expertise and experience, and a strong commitment to efficiently achieving high quality results is required. A thoughtful, persevering, self-disciplined approach to achieving accurate, detailed work is essential. Job responsibilities and expectations are clearly defined, as is the scope of job authority. A key aspect of the job includes the ongoing identification of technical problems and the development of sound, carefully thought-out solutions. Problem solving is focused on proven systems and technologies and established organizational relationships. Solutions should minimize risk to the organization and utilize existing resources. Because of the expertise developed in this position, it is necessary to regularly initiate and communicate viewpoints on problems and opportunities in a factual, straightforward manner. The hourly base wage for this position is commensurate with experience, education and qualifications and is competitive with other companies in the Beaver County area. Candidates MUST be willing to work a steady off shift Monday to Friday and weekends as needed.

Purpose: Will provide support to the production team in the following manner:

Responding to breakdowns
Completing PM’s
Participating in the requisition of parts as they are used
Installing new equipment
Completing other tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Work as part of a team to repair and maintain the building and equipment, especially the electronic components.
Knowledge and experience with industrial equipment using high voltage electrical service (480V, 3 Phase).
PLC Controls.
Ability to read blueprints, especially blueprints of electrical components.
Installation, repair and maintenance of plant machines and electrical and control equipment.
Trouble shooting equipment breakdowns, mechanical and electrical, to determine the root cause of failures to minimize downtime.
Work with AC/DC theory on various voltages.
Strong trouble shooting skills.
Welding and fabrication is a plus.
Safely operate a forklift.
Work safely using lockout tag out procedures.
Perform other duties as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.90 - $36.05 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 48 per week
