Lead Designer: Remodel and New Construction Projects

Versatile Design of Evergreen Colorado is a Kitchen and Bath Studio focused on cabinetry and large scale remodel projects. VERSATILE DESIGN specializes in cabinetry, interior space planning and finish construction materials for remodels, new construction, and kitchen and bath. VERSATILE DESIGN is searching for a motivated and skilled Senior Designer to join our team.

The Lead Designer position requires all the skills of a Kitchen and Bath position as well as experience in large scale remodels. In this position the designer is able to shape the design and layout of the entire project vs. just cabinet design. Therefore, the designer must be skilled in general design and construction, and proficient in AutoCAD or Chief Architect in addition to 2020. The designer must be highly skilled in Kitchen and Bath design as well as space planning and material selections for whole home projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Floor Plans, As-builts, Construction Documents and material proposals
• Cabinet design, pricing and ordering
• Project Management during construction and installation
• Field measuring projects and creating timely and accurate designs, quotes, and revisions as needed
• Produce professional quality 2020 & AutoCAD drawings
• Prepare accurate orders and contract documents
• Expertly manage all projects from inception to completion

Desired Skills:

• You have over seven years of proven success selling residential cabinetry in a dealer environment; you consistently place in the top sales group in your current role
• You know 2020 & AutoCAD software; others seek your advice on how best to use it
• You have a passion for design and a portfolio to show it
• You are customer-focused and skilled at comprehending and delivering your customer’s vision; your designs delight the customer
• You have exceptional attention to detail
• You excel at building long-term relationships with builders and contractors by meeting their specific needs
• You are skilled at customer management; when things don’t go as planned you solve the issue in a way that delights the customer
• You love being part of a positive collaborative team environment, and you share your knowledge and experience with your teammates
• You have a degree in interior design or a KB certificate
• NKBA Certification preferred

As a boutique firm our mission is a design unique to each client. Versatile is not a volume showroom and designer will not be responsible for lead generation or project sell in. Each project is sold by management and assigned to the design staff. Staff will have the luxury of devoting all their time to design and project management. Designer will earn a base salary and a quarterly profit sharing distribution.

Our sales/design team enjoys the benefits of a superb showroom, centralized purchasing, and in house contracting team, administrative support, and a strong marketing and business development.

Hours:

Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 5:00 PM
