At La Loma Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, we strive to provide excellent patient care in a friendly work environment.  We are looking for a Board certified/eligible Internal medicine and Pediatrics Physician or experienced Family Nurse Practitioner to join our expanding primary care team and provide high quality patient care. The ideal candidate is an intuitive healthcare professional whose diagnostic abilities are only matched by their concern for their patients. Responsibilities for Physician or Nurse Practitioner:

  • Work with the primary healthcare team to provide patients with primary medical care services within the standard of care for patients.
  • Provide continuity of care to patients in the community.
  • Order laboratory and radiology tests and refer patients to specialists when appropriate and called for.
  • Maintain provider dictation with complete, timely and understandable medical records to accommodate on time claims submission
  • Maintain accurate records of patient's contact details, medical history, prescribed medications, allergies, diagnoses, and progress
  • Performs clinical daily appointments for patient’s addressing their questions/concerns through annual visits, acute, tele health, same day sick visits, etc.
  • Analyze reports, test results, medical records and examinations to diagnose conditions of patients and propose treatment options.
  • Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions.
  • Provide advice to patients for lifestyle and diet changes that may improve their health or help to treat the health issue they are experiencing.
  • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
  • Shared provider on call services with minimal calls
  • Share Supervisorial duties of NP or PA colleagues (for physician applicants)

 

Qualifications for Physician or Nurse Practitioner:

  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited United States medical school or F.N.P. from an accredited United States University Nurse Practitioner Program
  • For Physicians - successful completion of residency at an accredited healthcare institution in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics
  • For Nurse Practitioners - a minimum of 5 years working experience as an F.N.P. in a primary care practice.
  • Board certification or Board Eligible in primary care from said residency for Physician.
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner for F.N.P.
  • Current Arizona State Medical Practitioner License.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) License.
  • Experience collaborating with specialists to explore patient health conditions and diagnose health issues.
  • Experience working in a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating with them to ensure positive, effective patient experiences with our organization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • EMR experience (preferably e-ClinicalWorks)

Salary for Physician

$150,000 - $250,000 a year (depending on preferred work schedule)

Salary for Nurse Partitioner

$80,000 - $140,000 a year (depending on preferred work schedule)
