Assistant Maintenance technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our residential facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and leadership skills, with a passion for keeping our facilities in top condition.

Essential Functions:

• Assist in provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
• Assist in perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment, as well as regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facility.
• Can prioritize repairs, activities, and events in accordance with production demand.
• The ability to effectively communicate with interdepartmental and external departmental personnel.
• Conduct routine mechanical testing of plant equipment.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Required Education and Experience:

• Mechanically inclined with experience troubleshooting equipment.
• A understanding of Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Electrical
• A work history that includes good attendance
• A commitment to complete work with safety, quality, and efficiency in mind.
• Willingness to learn on the job and be willing to work with a variety of machines and processes.
• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to work at heights and confined spaces.
• Ability to work while wearing PPE equipment.
• Ability to provide own basic tools.
• Must have good trouble shooting, problem solving, and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
Schedule:

• 10 hour shift, Day shift, Overtime

Experience:

• Maintenance: 2 years (Required)
