Location : Versiti Donor Center La Crosse - 1800 Jackson St, La Crosse, WI 54601

Upon Arrival : Candidates are welcome to park in the front lot and enter through the main entrance. Walk-ins welcome!

    No phlebotomy experience? No problem!

    To get you started on your journey with us, we begin with a paid eight-week training program. This includes four weeks of classroom training and four weeks of mentoring with an experienced phlebotomist.

    Responsibilities

    As a phlebotomist, you will :

    Prepares collection site, performs set up of equipment, including technology systems

  • Performs accurate medical interviews to determine donor eligibility, performs venipunctures / blood draws, ensures donor safety, and rebooks donors for future appointments
  • Observes and responds to donor questions, concerns, and reactions appropriately
  • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Willingness to under a background check that includes criminal check, motor vehicle check, education verification, employment verification, and a drug screen
  • Ability to work a variable schedule including early mornings, late days / evenings, weekends, and holidays. We require open availability from 4 am - 10 pm. Schedule provided three weeks in advance.
