The Part Time Assistant Manager shares responsibilities with the Store Manager for all activities and objectives of one store, including sales generation, effective customer service, shrinkage, Human Resources Management, merchandising, administrative and expense management and store maintenance. All activities must be directed in strict compliance with Cato Corporation policies, procedures, rules and regulations.

Skills, Experience and Training Required
- Minimum age: 18 yrs old
- One-year of retail experience that includes supervisory responsibilities as a member of management and/or successful completion of a minimum of 6 months as a Cato Corporation Assistant Manager.
- Successful completion of the Cato Corporation First Assistant Manager training program.
Essential Physical Requirements
- Ability to process information/merchandise through the Register and ISP system.
- Ability to communicate with associates and customers.
- Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation.
- Ability to freely access all areas of the store including the selling floor, stock area and cash wrap.
- Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run a store.
- Ability to lift and move or transfer merchandise through the store generally weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to work varied hours/days as business indicates.
