CR1 Clamp Truck Operator

First shift 6am-2:30

$17.50 per hour ($18.50 once Certified)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

1. Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment to move raw materials and finished goods, exercising care to position product on forks to avoid product damage.
2. Follow specific instructions given by internal personnel regarding the movement of goods.
3. Complete daily task paperwork accurately and entirely.
4. Complete daily preventive maintenance check form on all equipment driven.
5. Verify accuracy of product count and product information against shipping and receiving documents, and check product for damage.
6. Use WMS system to complete proper records required to maintain and update product quantities and locations for items shipped, received or moved.
7. Comply with safety regulations governing the operation of the equipment.
8. Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
9. Follow facility specific procedures regarding locking loading and unloading rail cars.
10. Follow documented procedures for put away of material as well as staging and inventory.
11. Identify flaws/defects/knowledge of packing/loading methods.

13. Must spend 75% of their time or more operating Clamp Truck Material Handling Equipment.
14. Must meet the requirements of a Material Handling position.

Marginal Functions:

1. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
2. Provide backup support to Material Handling Operators when needed.
3. Perform cycle counts or verification of inventory quantities and locations.
4. Train new employees on standard operating procedures.

Job Specifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; will accept work related experience.
2. Must acquire forklift certification upon hire; prefer 3-5 years prior experience operating a forklift in a high volume environment.
3. Must acquire additional certification upon hire to qualify as a Clamp Truck Operator; prefer 1-3 years prior experience operating Heavy Equipment (i.e. Roll Clamp Equipment).
4. Basic reading and math skills.
5. Prior experience with a WMS (Warehouse Management System) in an RF scanning environment required.
6. Must be able to spend significant amounts of time in the equipment.
7. Must be able to follow specific instructions thoroughly and accurately.
8. Frequently bending, walking and lifting up to 40 lbs safely as required
9. Good hand/eye coordination and motor skills.
10. Able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed due to customer requirements.
11. Working at high and elevated levels required.
