CR1 Clamp Truck Operator

First shift 6am-2:30
$17.50 per hour ($18.50 once Certified)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment to move raw materials and finished goods, exercising care to position product on forks to avoid product damage.
- Follow specific instructions given by internal personnel regarding the movement of goods.
- Complete daily task paperwork accurately and entirely.
- Complete daily preventive maintenance check form on all equipment driven.
- Verify accuracy of product count and product information against shipping and receiving documents, and check product for damage.
- Use WMS system to complete proper records required to maintain and update product quantities and locations for items shipped, received or moved.
- Comply with safety regulations governing the operation of the equipment.
- Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
- Follow facility specific procedures regarding locking loading and unloading rail cars.
- Follow documented procedures for put away of material as well as staging and inventory.
- Identify flaws/defects/knowledge of packing/loading methods.
- Must spend 75% of their time or more operating Clamp Truck Material Handling Equipment.
- Must meet the requirements of a Material Handling position.
Marginal Functions:
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Provide backup support to Material Handling Operators when needed.
- Perform cycle counts or verification of inventory quantities and locations.
- Train new employees on standard operating procedures.
Job Specifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; will accept work related experience.
- Must acquire forklift certification upon hire; prefer 3-5 years prior experience operating a forklift in a high volume environment.
- Must acquire additional certification upon hire to qualify as a Clamp Truck Operator; prefer 1-3 years prior experience operating Heavy Equipment (i.e. Roll Clamp Equipment).
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Prior experience with a WMS (Warehouse Management System) in an RF scanning environment required.
- Must be able to spend significant amounts of time in the equipment.
- Must be able to follow specific instructions thoroughly and accurately.
- Frequently bending, walking and lifting up to 40 lbs safely as required
- Good hand/eye coordination and motor skills.
- Able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed due to customer requirements.
- Working at high and elevated levels required.
