Job Overview:
We are seeking a Software Embedded Engineer for the Embedded Tools Team within ISG Tech Stack, Embedded Infrastructure at John Deere in Cary, NC. This role focuses on developing tools and scripts to enhance efficiency and user experience for embedded software development using OpenRTOS. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, provide daily user support, and lead innovation efforts for next-generation tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop tools & scripts to improve efficiency in embedded software development.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide daily support to users.
- Lead innovation to define next-generation tools for the embedded development community.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3 years in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
- Proficient in modern programming languages (C#, C , Java)
- Experience with object-oriented software design and C
- Understanding of the embedded software development workflow
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with GNU Make and Python
- Knowledge of CAN and UDS protocols
- Advanced degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- Experience with agile software development processes
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent experience
