Manufacturing Engineer II

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team at John Deere. In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and execute manufacturing engineering projects to improve processes, quality, and efficiency. You will work in a team environment and collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to achieve production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Improvement: Analyze and enhance manufacturing processes to optimize cost, quality, and efficiency
• Equipment & System Design: Assist in designing and testing manufacturing methods, tools, and machinery
• Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections, ensure compliance with standards, and recommend improvements
• Supplier Coordination: Work with suppliers and contractors to meet project goals and ensure smooth operations
• Project Management: Support and manage portions of engineering projects within established guidelines
• Change Management: Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance manufacturing processes
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, technology, and best practices through training and professional development
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Technical Skills: Engineering design, process development, testing, and quality control
• Software Knowledge: Experience with engineering systems, project management tools, and process improvement methodologies
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess problems, identify solutions, and implement improvements
• Communication & Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners
