As we expand, we seek a dynamic and growth-oriented Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our new divisions, the Construction Management Agency and Construction ISP Services, each currently generating approximately $1 million in revenue. Role Overview
As the COO of Vertex Innovations, you will be a key executive leader responsible for optimizing operations, scaling business units, and executing strategic initiatives to accelerate growth. Reporting directly to the President and working closely with the CFO and VP of Sales, you will ensure that company-wide objectives align with sustainable and profitable expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Leadership
- Develop and implement scalable business strategies to drive revenue growth and operational efficiency in the new Construction Management Agency and Construction MSP Services divisions.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to establish clear goals, KPIs, and success metrics for company expansion.
- Lead the execution of growth initiatives, including business development, strategic partnerships, and operational improvements.
- Ensure alignment between corporate strategy and day-to-day operations to maintain a competitive edge in the industry.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee and enhance company processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and deliver high-quality service.
- Develop and implement performance monitoring, reporting, and process optimization systems.
- Identify operational challenges and implement solutions that drive productivity and business effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in construction management and managed services.
Financial & Resource Management
- Work with the CFO to develop and manage budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and capital investments.
- Drive profitability and cost-effectiveness across both divisions while maintaining high service quality.
- Evaluate financial data and operational performance to make informed decisions that enhance revenue streams.
Team & Culture Development
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the organization.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to teams within the new divisions to drive performance and operational success.
- Identify talent needs and work with HR to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing individuals.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a COO, VP of Operations, or other executive leadership role in the construction, managed services, or related industries.
- Strong background in scaling business operations and driving revenue growth within emerging or newly established divisions.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Deep understanding of construction management, managed services, and operational best practices.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management, forecasting, and cost control.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
