Vertex IT Systems is looking for a dedicated Sr. Scrum Master to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading Agile teams, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact software projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, strong leadership skills, and experience in coaching teams to adopt Agile best practices and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and coach the team on Scrum and Agile best practices.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Remove impediments and foster a collaborative team environment to maximize productivity.
- Work with the Product Owner to maintain and prioritize the product backlog.
- Monitor sprint progress and ensure deliverables are met on time.
- Help teams adopt Agile frameworks and continuously improve processes.
- Track and report key metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, and team performance.
- Shield the team from external interference and distractions.
- Foster transparency, communication, and trust within and across teams.
- Support the team in achieving a high level of performance and quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience using Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, Rally).
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I or higher).
- Experience working in a scaled Agile environment (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus).
- Background in software development or technical project management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Agile testing methodologies.
