What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Manager/Business Development position at Vertex Packaging Supplies?
This is a very unique opportunity for a hungry and smart individual. We are looking for a very vital team member that will help facilitate and manage tasks for 3 companies under one roof. These are 3 very different companies, so it will be a unique and fun challenge every day. They are: Real Estate Development, Law Firm, Distribution Company. Each will require a different approach, and different types of tasks.
Law Firm Tasks
-Being part of the Marketing Team. Coming up with ideas for Social Media, contacting former clients, implementing customer satisfaction, sending out marketing material, attending and managing events.
-Handling Staff matters and issues. Payroll management. HR
-Restocking of supplies.
Distribution Company
-Handling HR matters, and payroll assistance
-Handling of clerical and front desk receptionist tasks
-Handling of lead distributions to sales reps, and managing of excel files
-Helping with increasing sales through inbound marketing and other sales avenues
-Ordering supplies, and preparing gifts for customers on their birthdays and special occasions
Property Management Tasks
-Handling property management related issues, as they arise
-Leasing of units, which include Apartment, Student Housing, and Commercial properties. This becomes especially important during the summer months.
-Handling of City and Corporate matters for the properties.
The Individual we are looking for will need to think on their feet, execute each task efficiently, find creative ways to approach each company objective, be a problem solver, great at researching what needs to be done, not shy about trying new approaches, be able to multi task, be well organized, and be a team player. Depending on how this individual performs, there are a lot of opportunities for advancement, and our intention is to build out this department with many people, therefore will lead into a Managerial and Executive role. This is a very unique opportunity to handle 3 very different companies, drive their growth, learn about 3 different industries, and have each day be as exciting as the day before.
Each company has it's own rewarding and fulfilling work; such as development of Low Income Housing, attending to injured clients and supporting them in their time of need, and donating merchandise to the needy.
