About the Role
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Lead to establish and oversee our centralized AP function in Charlotte. This role will provide leadership for our offshore AP processing team while ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and automation of our AP processes. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage a high volume of transactions across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Offshore AP Team of 3 and ensure accuracy in processing.
- Oversee AP workflows within Sage Intacct and JP Morgan Bank, ensuring seamless execution.
- Identify, implement, and drive AP automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.
- Conduct quality checks on offshore AP processing work and ensure adherence to standards.
- Monitor and manage the AP inbox, responding to requests in a timely manner.

Own and oversee payment runs, including:
- Preparing payments for approval.
- Managing weekly payment cycles.
- Reviewing and approving high-volume transactions (thousands per month) across multiple subsidiaries.
- Analyze variances in AP processes and implement solutions.
- Work on vendor management and volume discount opportunities to optimize costs.
- Provide reports and insights to leadership
Qualifications & Experience
- 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, with leadership experience preferred.
- Experience managing offshore teams is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Sage Intacct and JP Morgan Bank systems.
- Proven ability to drive AP automation and process improvements.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to identify variances and trends.
- Ability to multitask and manage high-volume transactions.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
