Responsible for managing operational aspects of a tower company’s broadcast asset portfolio inclusive of, but not limited to, towers, antennas, transmission lines, combiners shelters, and other associated transmission facility components for AM, FM, and TV broadcast.

Responsible for managing operational aspects of a tower company’s broadcast asset portfolio inclusive of, but not limited to, towers, antennas, transmission lines, combiners shelters, and other associated transmission facility components for AM, FM, and TV broadcast.
Job Functions
- Interface with leasing personnel and tenants in the leasing, site design and installation processes
- Act as broadcast engineering subject matter liaison for all company internal teams with respect to territorial sites
- Obtain vendor quotes for specific site projects, assist with vendor selection process, and PO issuance monitoring vendor status and close out projects
- Review tenant colocation applications and make recommendations to tenant and leasing team as required to affect lease up of broadcast assets
- Interface with engineering consultants, and the real estate teams to provide site specific engineering support
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and safety requirements and proper signage and environmental requirements at all sites
- Oversee AM studies, AM tower detuning, and broadband wireless installations on AM and FM towers as needed
- Facilitate tower and building inspections, as required
- Review construction close out documents to ensure project completions by tenants and contractors
- Work with project managers on site specific upgrades and repair processes
- Update, upload, and maintain all necessary site information in company’s central database as required
- Work closely with the accounting team to provide PO and invoice tracking support and ensuring that VB is fully reimbursed for its reimbursable expenses
- Four-year advanced RF, electrical, or digital communications engineering degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum five years of experience in the technical side of broadcast industry, site construction and telecommunications construction project management required
- Experience with RF system problem resolution. Advanced knowledge of AM, FM and TV broadcast engineering and operations
- Thorough knowledge of broadcast engineering equipment, spectrum usage, and construction practices
- Experience with securing and managing multiple vendor quotations and associated internal accounting
- Excellent client relationship management skills
- Disciplined, organized, and thorough individual who is a self-starter
- Effective in an entrepreneurial culture, working independently and as part of a team
