Summary
We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Driller to join our team at Vertical Earth Inc. This position is crucial for executing drilling operations safely and efficiently, contributing to our mission of delivering high-quality construction services.
Responsibilities
- Operate a rotary percussion drill to perform soil and rock sampling, test borings, and other related drilling activities.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform site assessments to determine drilling requirements and conditions.
- Assist in the construction of oil and gas pipelines as needed.
- Dig trenches and prepare sites for various construction activities.
- Ensure the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of drilling equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including equipment maintenance and drilling logs.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely completion of projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in drilling operations, particularly horizontal drilling.
- Strong knowledge of pipeline installation processes and safety standards.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and commitment to workplace safety.
- Basic understanding of construction site protocols and procedures.
- Experience with a rotary percussion drill is required.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) is a plus.
- Experience with other drilling methods (e.g., auger drilling, air rotary) and heavy equipment is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
