Pipe Crew Job Description Position Specifics:
Reports to: Foreman
Desired Experience/Skills:
- Ability to do physical labor and tasks
- A valid drivers license
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
- Ability to follow guidance and instructions
- Ability to work extended hours and some weekends
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
Purpose:
To assist in general operations of a construction job site. A crewman will be responsible for traveling to a job site and working with fellow crewman and operators on various construction tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate small equipment such as a skid steer, roller, or power broom
- Load and unload material
- Set up and maintains erosion control
- Use hand tools
- Check and maintains grade stakes
- Set up and maintains traffic control
- General maintenance of equipment and tools
- Minor equipment repairs
- Jobsite cleaning
- Observe stipulated safety codes at all times
- Report injuries and equipment damage to management
- May be required to do general office work, shop work, or housekeeping
The above listed duties require periods of standing, walking, stooping, bending and periodic lifting of heavy objects.
