Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Test Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform hands-on R&D and Qualification testing for ruggedized interconnects, including military-style connectors. This position will initially require training during standard work hours but will transition to a swing shift schedule to help extend testing hours at our laboratory.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong testing background to contribute to a growing laboratory and play a critical role in enhancing our testing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Test Execution : Perform benchtop tests on test samples, including :

Mating Durability

  • Mating and Un-mating Force
  • Shell-to-Shell Conductivity
  • Contact Resistance
  • Coupling and Uncoupling Torque
  • Equipment Utilization : Program and operate specialized test equipment, such as temperature / humidity chambers, universal tensile testers, and Hi-Pot testers.
  • Compliance Testing : Execute testing in accordance with :
  • MIL-STD-38999

  • EIA-364 Series specifications
  • DO-160
  • MIL-STD-810
  • Internal procedures governed by our quality management system
  • Data Recording : Accurately document test data in specialized datasheets for report creation and customer delivery.
  • Swing Shift Schedule :

  • Training for this role will be conducted during regular daytime work hours.
  • After completing training, the technician will transition to a swing shift to help extend testing hours and maximize lab efficiency.
  • The swing shift schedule will provide flexibility and autonomy while maintaining close collaboration with the larger team.
  • Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience : Minimum of 5 years in testing military interconnects or related fields.
  • Skills :
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) with the ability to chart, graph trends, and create metrics.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Solid mathematical aptitude.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional report and technical documentation writing skills.
