Job Summary: Primary responsibility will be to manage quality and ISO 9001 compliance for YATES Gear. This position will be responsible for all aspects of quality for the YATES manufacturing facility and brand. Additional responsibilities may include working at alternate locations or representing different brands, as needed.
Essential job functions include but are not limited to:
- Participate in audits and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform routine quality inspections of products and materials to ensure they meet internal and external standards
- Performing root cause analysis and corrective action
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Monitor production processes to identify opportunities for improvement in product quality and process efficiency.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, engineering, and operations) to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Identifying risk within the manufacturing process and collaborating with stakeholders on mitigation
- Maintain quality documentation, including test records, inspection reports, and certificates of analysis.
- Creating quality documentation, including certificates of conformance, standard operating procedures, quality process documentation
- Monitoring and reporting on strategic quality objectives
- Organizing and leading quality management reviews
- Functioning as lead contact for external quality audits
- Auditing internal documentation, processes, and records
- Ensuring resolution of product returns and complaints
- Monitoring vendor performance and overseeing vendor corrective actions
- Monitoring quality standard changes and being able to analyze how changes may affect the quality system
- Assisting and leading change management related to quality processes and, analyzing and mitigating risk associated with change
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of experience in quality management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- ISO 9001 experience preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and work with cross-functional teams.
- The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, think critically, manage multiple priorities, and adhere to strict deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail and time management
- Teamwork oriented
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to learn technical details, relative to the position, quickly
Working Environment
- Full-time position.
- The role involves working in a manufacturing environment, which may require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting.
- Occasional travel (domestic/international) to other company locations and/or vendor facilities may be required.
