Position Summary
Vertical Visual Solutions has an immediate opportunity for a qualified candidate to join our team as a CNC Router Operator. This position will report directly to the Production Manager. The responsibilities of this position are highlighted below.
Responsibilities
- Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Creating programs for the CNC machines using CAM software such as Enroute and/or V-Carve.
- Operation of 3 different CNC router machines.
- Use of precision measuring instruments to gauge depths and ensure parts are within tolerance.
- Creating jigs or fixtures for small parts machining operations.
- Reading and interpreting shop drawings.
- Keep track of stock material inventory and alert purchasing department when inventory items need to be restocked.
- Using problem solving skills, anticipate needs and provide clear communication on satisfying those needs without supervision.
- Manage finished parts, sort and organize customer orders.
- Remain competent of the status of all ongoing jobs, provide perpetual updates to other departments, or management on demand.
- Assist in other departments as required.
Qualifications
- Must be able to program 2D and 3D CNC machine toolpaths using CAM software.
- Must be able to safely operate CNC machines.
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments (calipers, etc.)
- Proficient in the use of basic hand tools.
- Skilled self-starter with the ability to work, both independently and as a team, on multiple tasks while regularly re-prioritizing to maximize efficiency.
- Must be able to prioritize work in order to meet deadlines.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide array of people at all levels within the company.
- Detail oriented, accurate, self-motivated and open to new ideas, projects and directions within the Company that can adjust and problem solve.
- Able to work independently with little supervision and apply independent judgment and discretion.
- Reliable transportation to and from work, meeting locations, business and company events.
- Possess and maintain current Driver’s license and retain auto insurance as law requires with the ability to drive personal and company vehicles.
Experience
- CNC Programming: 3 years (Preferred)
- CNC Machine Operation: 3 years (Preferred)
