Funeral Director- Prep Room
Mankato Mortuary is adding a Prep Room Funeral Director to our team in Mankato. This role is responsible for leading and overseeing the prep room. This will include all decedent care such as care and preparation to include but not limited to; identification viewings, embalming, cosmetology, dressing, casketing and preparing for transport and crematory support. In this role, you will also perform funeral-related duties as needed.

In this role, you will also perform funeral-related duties as needed.
What you’ll do
- Care for deceased in a respectful manner while performing a variety of tasks which include embalming, removals and transfers, cosmetology, dressing, hairstyling, and any other preparation required for human remains.
- Adhere to all professional, municipal, state/provincial and federal licensing authority regulations applicable to embalming and preparation.
Experience you’ll need:
- 1 years of experience as a Licensed Funeral Director
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- High level of compassion and integrity
Educational Requirements:
- Degree from Accredited Mortuary Science Program plus additional college credits as required in the applicable state.
- Successful completion of the National Board Examination
- Successful completion of the applicable State Board Examination
- Valid Funeral Director and/or Embalmer State Licensure
- Valid Driver’s License
