Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled SAP Financial Modules Specialist to join our GFBB Project Team, which is focused on migrating the finance backbone of the organization to SAP S/4HANA. This role will be essential in supporting the implementation, testing, and validation of new SAP financial features and modules, with a focus on ensuring successful adoption of the SAP system across our finance teams. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and the IT department to ensure the system meets business requirements and is fully functional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Finance and IT Teams: Work with the finance team and subject matter experts to understand and document business requirements, ensuring the SAP system is configured to meet these needs effectively.
- Design & Implementation of SAP Features: Assist in the design and implementation of new SAP financial features or modules, focusing on optimizing business processes and enhancing the system's functionality.
- User Support & Training: Provide support to finance users on the effective use of SAP for financial management and assist with the creation and delivery of training materials for end-users.
- Issue Identification & Resolution: Identify, report, and track issues within the SAP financial modules (GL, AP, AR, Asset), and work closely with the project team to resolve them in a timely manner.
- Testing & Validation: Execute comprehensive test cases to validate the functionality of SAP financial modules, configurations, and integrations. Conduct functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the system meets business requirements.
- Defect Tracking & Communication: Document and track defects found during testing, working with the IT and development teams to resolve them. Serve as a liaison between subject matter experts and IT, ensuring smooth communication of testing results and requirements.
- Training Development: Support the development of training materials and sessions to educate finance end-users on the proper use of SAP financial modules.
- Global Collaboration: Work closely with global teams, including 6 team members within SF2-US and 30 within C4-US, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across regions.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Information Technology.
- 3-5 years of experience in a project management, business analysis, or finance/accounting role with exposure to SAP.
- Proficiency in SAP Financial Modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in end-user training and support.
Nice to Have:
- Project Management experience, with a strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence).
Desired Industry Experience:
- Experience in the Financial Services industry is highly preferred.
Onsite Expectations:
- This is a hybrid role with a standard expectation of 3 days a week in-office, with periodic additional in-office requirements based on project needs.
