Job Description
The Presales Electrical Engineer is an essential role within the Infrastructure Solutions team, responsible for delivering electrical solutions to customers during early engagement phases. This position requires expertise in electrical engineering as well as structural, mechanical, and controls disciplines.
Responsibilities:
Reading and understanding RFP and tender documents
Understanding customer requirements provided by Sales and Account teams
Designing electrical system architecture and equipment
Coordinating with other technical disciplines (architectural, structural, HVAC, controls, fire protection)
Technical project coordination with customers and suppliers
Communication with customers to propose the best solution
Making technical proposals for Vertiv modular solutions data centers
Providing electrical design documents
Solving problems and interpreting customer requirements in proposed solutions
Requirements:
Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering
5 years of career experience in a similar role
Proficient in electrical power system design
Good CAD capabilities, including representing layouts and electrical schematic diagrams
Dimensioning and specification of electrical equipment and installations
Knowledge of short circuit and protection coordination study calculations and modeling tools
Active English language skills
Solution-based thinking incorporating multiple mechanical and electrical components
Solid communication skills, both written and oral, to work across multiple Engineering and Manufacturing teams
PC skills: active user of Windows, MS Office, and AutoCAD
