What are the responsibilities and job description for the BOM Specialist position at Vertiv?
Essential job functions:
- Prepares, checks and releases design documentation that will satisfy requirements for completion date, performance and reliability.
- Responsible for documentation methods that ensures high levels of productivity.
- Part Number, BOM Creation, Configuration Creation / Input and maintenance.
- Process Flow Documentation and Design (PLM and ERP).
Requirements:
- Technical or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant or technical subject or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum equivalent 3 years’ experience.
- Proficient in 3D modeling and 2D drafting required, preferably AutoDesk Revit, Solid Edge and/or AutoDesk Inventor.
- Proficient in Geometric Dimension and Tolerance (GD&T) techniques.
- Experience creating and sustaining a structured bill of materials in PLM and ERP systems.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Demonstrates excellent listening and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Works independently and is highly motivated to initiate and accept new challenges.
- Exhibits appropriate attributes in all aspects of performance and demeanor. Accuracy, results orientation, planning, effective information management.
- Positive attitude for working in a Teamwork environment.
Preferences:
- Knowledge of Data Center Design and associated equipment Knowledge of sheet metal and metal fabrication processes
