POSITION SUMMARY

​.  Provide business, managerial, and technical direction for Compliance and Training businesses.  Expected to be the principal technical resource and to provide business and managerial oversight. Also, the source of teamwork and promotes the concept of the overall team for the company. Responsible for establishing and meeting Compliance and Training sales, orders and profit objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the sales, profit, and quality of the Conformity Business
    • Review and sign contracts consistent with Limits of Authority
    • Manage and develop the conformity personnel to promote new business
    • Manage the day-to-day conformity business in the Seattle Service Center
    • Hold regular meetings to promote effective communication and review business progress
    • Work with staff to develop weekly invoicing and monthly Status Reports 
    • Communicate with Marketing and IT for necessary updates to quote tool and marketing information pertaining to conformity
    •  
  •  Responsible for the sales, profit, and execution of Training business 
    • Review and update all internal and external training courses
    • Manage and develop the training personnel to promote organizational development and increase new business
    • Coordinate and schedule all internal training courses for ERS field personnel
    • Provide CTD related training and guidance to management and field personnel for NETA certifications
    •  
    • Hold regular meetings to promote effective communication and review business progress. 
    • Work with staff to develop weekly invoicing and monthly Status Reports. 
    • Communicate with Marketing and IT for necessary updates to quote tool and marketing information pertaining to internal and external training programs.
  • Represent the organization at International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI)
    • Attend and participate in monthly meetings
  • Approve all proposals that require discount authorizations for conformity
  • Approve all proposals that require discount authorizations for external training courses
  • Maintain the Nimonik library (IEEE UL standards)

 

 

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience                                             

  • Four-year degree or graduate of Electrical Technical School or Military equivalent, prefer BSEE. 
  • 5-10 years’ experience in Electrical Training and/or Compliance activities
  • Same or similar work experience in the Industrial Service Industry.   
  • Requires a high degree of communication, supervisory, organizational and good management skills. 
  • Communicate effectively, writing and verbally, with clients, peers, subordinates and management.
  • Strong computer skills including editing, formatting and using templates in Microsoft Word, use of Internet for standards/products/manufacturer research and operation of computer-controlled test equipment. 
  • Willing to do some overnight travel to cover field region and attend company meetings.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, talk and hear.  Required to sit and work at computer.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
