What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Fitter / Heavy Equipment Operator position at Vertiv?
Essential Job Functions
- Maintain positive, progressive, and productive attitude toward plant targets and objectives regarding reliability, accountability, safety, integrity, quality, and productivity as a unified goal.
- Use of hand-held controls to operate an overhead crane in a safe/efficient manner.
- Working with the shipping team and production crew to ensure that parts are moved and staged in accordance with business needs.
- Read blueprints to install copper and aluminum conductors using hand tools and torque wrenches
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. consistently and safely.
- Provide troubleshooting assistance
- Document/report all production quality requirements and any performance gaps
- Provide support for general engineering and electrical activities as required.
- Overtime when our workload demands.
