What are the responsibilities and job description for the Power Services Training Program Manager position at Vertiv?
- Manage the design, development and delivery of high-profile, high-impact Power Technical Services development programs delivered in multiple modes – instructor-led and virtual workshops, train-the-trainer, self-paced online courses and videos, and technical solution lab exercises.
- Progressive professional experience developing and delivering high impact technical training programs, preferred focus on data center technologies, services and/or operations.
- Contribute to the successful launch of new products and solutions through the development and use of global course and collateral templates and standards, designing courses for global scale and multiple language translations
- Define and manage program objectives at the regional level and consider how they might be tailored for global needs
- Lead the collaboration with subject matter experts to document the safe and proper work tasks needed by field staff to perform their jobs onsite.
- Lead the design and implement training lab environments for remote access and hands on learning that is accessible, flexible and applicable to the job defined
- Develop and manage internal relationships with the Power Business Unit, Power Tech Support and Services leaders to deliver on-time training solutions
- Measure program impact against pre-defined success metrics including student course evaluations, consumption and impact data.
- Respond to leadership and customer inquiries regarding training materials and courses with courtesy and professionalism.
- Ensure all training content aligns with the organization’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, electrical engineering or a similar discipline, or a minimum of 5 years of proven business experience in a similar field.
- Experience managing the creation of eLearning modules, ILT, job aids, work instructions, and/or technical documentation.
- Familiarity with instructional design concepts and standards.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, deadline-oriented, global work environment
- Passion and interest in developing people
- Familiarity with digital content creation tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and Vyond.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms (e.g., Docebo, Cornerstone, Blackboard, Workday) and administration preferred.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, multitasking, and meeting deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills at multiple business levels.
- Industry-recognized certifications such as ATD, CompTIA CTT , etc., preferred.
- Willingness to expand skills to meet evolving business needs.
