What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Management Specialist position at Vertiv?
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a liaison between Engineering and Planning to ensure projects are ready for production.
- Verify and generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for the iMPB and HPB product lines, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Create and manage new parts within the IFS (ERP) system for the iMPB and HPB product lines, ensuring proper documentation and tracking.
- Review and verify engineering drawings for accuracy and ensure they are correctly stored in project folders prior to manufacturing.
- Responsible for documentation methods that ensures high levels of productivity and efficiency.
- Track Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Deviations through Global Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and processes to ensure timely completion and deployment in multiple regional Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools
- Review ECOs for completeness and assign applicable tasks to fully process the ECO through the PLM systems
- Maintain PLM system integrity (adhere to document standards and procedures)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product standardization initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED required; Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering is preferred.
- Proven experience and familiarity with the iMPB and HPB Product Lines preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems, particularly IFS.
- Experience creating and sustaining a structured bills of materials in PLM and ERP systems required.
