SE-ERS NETA Testing Technician - Dallas

POSITION SUMMARY

​Perform support for field operations.  Perform physical tasks relating to testing of electrical apparatus.  Perform other assignments as required.  Position requires close supervision. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• ​Perform support for field operations and simple electrical equipment testing, troubleshooting, inspections.   
• ​Maintain shop in a neat and orderly condition.  (A shop technician in some service centers may handle this.) 
• ​Perform tasks such as testing of circuit breakers and motor control centers.   
• ​Learn procedures from on-the-job training for testing the following equipment:  circuit breakers, ground systems, motor control centers, switchboards, medium voltage cables, and ground fault systems.
• ​Write reports promptly at end of project using a computer and the Company’s custom software.

QUALIFICATIONS

• ​High school education or equivalent and one year minimum same or similar work experience. 

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear, and smell. 
• Frequently required to sit, climb, and balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, basic color differentiation and the ability to adjust focus. 
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move 100-pound test sets.
• Valid Driver’s License.
