What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Supply Chain Analyst position at Vertiv?
Vertiv is hiring a Senior Supply Chain Analyst - Americas in Westerville, OH who will be responsible for developing and managing the reports and tools that support supply chain distribution and operations in measuring and managing performance for backlog, inventory, service, and shipment revenue. This includes Performance Indicators (KPI’s), scorecards, and analytics for internal and external supply chain partners. They will utilize basic and advanced analytical tools to understand performance drivers and recommended improvement actions. They will implement process improvements to provide greater transparency and visibility to Operations performance. This role will also support or lead supply chain initiatives that optimize service, costs, and inventory internally and with external partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, maintain, and innovate key reports/analytics of inventory, sell out, sell in, in stock, backlog, service ((OTIF, PDSL, RDSL and lead times), and other performance data. This can be internal and with external distribution partners and 3PL’s as per SLA agreements. Automate where possible leveraging Power BI and other reporting options.
- Perform inventory stocking strategy and order quantity analyses to improve both sell in and sell out, service levels, Disti partner in-stock rates, and balance working capital investments.
- Support Logistics and Distribution on warehousing on analytics towards initiatives and cost savings projects
- Partner with Offering, Sales, and Demand Planning on stocking plans for NPDI, promotions, or other strategic sales initiatives.
- Manage data integrity, monthly and forecast load within Oracle.
- Creating the supply plan views for monthly SIOP process.
- Manage MRP Settings for items in Oracle.
- Responsible for the preparation of scorecards, reports, and analysis for internal and external operations meetings including monthly Operations review meeting.
- Using data analysis methods, develop recommendations to leadership for improvements in reporting, KPI’s and risk management.
- Develop and maintain standards, policies, and procedures surrounding procurement data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Perform business process analysis and own the design and improvement of new and existing tools and processes to support decisions.
- Lead or support supply chain analytics and process initiatives as defined.
- Effectively resolve roadblocks to collection of complete and accurate data and adoption of tools.
- Support ad-hoc requests as needed.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, mathematics, business, or finance.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of analytical experience performing detailed analyses.
- Excellent analytical skills and experience with analytical tools – MS Excel, Power BI/Tableau, Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- Previous experience with SAP or Oracle a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Smartsheet, and other business applications
- Excellent communications skills – written & verbal
- PDCA mindset with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated capability to execute through challenges.
