This position will execute critical mortgage processes to achieve business results and deliver the intended customer experience. Operational processes may include preparing disclosures (LE), CDs, closing documents and reviewing mortgage documentation and other activities. All activities are completed in compliance with Verus and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Works with the title company, broker, and all other pertinent parties to coordinate the logistics of disclosing an application and associated responsibilities.
  • Prepares and distributes the initial Lender Disclosure package and initial CD package and ensures all transactions are properly documented and authorized in accordance with standards.
  • Responsible for individually assigned pipeline daily, managing SLAs to accomplish compliance/regulatory timing for issuing disclosures, re-disclosures, and initial CDs.
  • Provides customer service to the broker during the disclosing and pre-closing process.
  • Ability to review loan payoff figures and verify accuracy.
  • Communicates title fee/pricing quotes and troubleshoots potential documentation
  • Reviews all Early Disclosures for accuracy and completeness including the applicable TRID and state specific broker documents as prepared by the Broker for all purchase and specific refinance first mortgage loan applications.
  • Monitors and prepares all re-disclosures to Broker and borrower for all appropriate valid change circumstance requirements.
  • Provides accurate, consistent, knowledgeable responses to stakeholder or broker questions and requests specific to TRID Disclosing requirements.
  • Follows documented policies and procedures to execute transactions, activities, processes and ensures all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Checks and reconciles information and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identifies and resolves discrepancies and escalates issues, where necessary, keeping the Broker Coordinator and Broker informed.
  • Performs administrative tasks such as distributing/collecting/filing/etc. documentation and information.
  • Manages documentation to ensure that disclosure records are maintained in a proper manner and kept to applicable timeframes.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with internal & external stakeholders to execute work and fulfill service delivery expectations.
  • Develops and maintains an understanding of the regulatory requirements and risks inherent in the operations to ensure appropriate actions are taken and operational integrity is maintained.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 - 3 years of Processing and Closing Experience
  • Working knowledge of TRID and its requirements
  • Knowledge and experience using various mortgage origination systems and technology.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the business unit’s key products and services, processes, and controls.
  • Knowledge of the risk and regulatory requirements of the business.
