Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team in a fast-paced dental office environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service while managing the front desk operations. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, health information management, and proficiency in computerized systems to ensure efficient patient flow and record-keeping.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process.
- Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for the dental office.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services and procedures.
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history.
- Maintain accurate records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Process payments and manage billing inquiries with professionalism.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth operations within the office.
- Uphold confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a front desk or medical administrative support role, preferably in a dental or medical office setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and health information management practices.
- Proficiency in using computerized systems for scheduling, billing, and patient records management.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and satisfaction.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with hospital or dental office procedures is preferred but not required.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
