Avionics Technician II- Helicopter, Rotary-Wing Aircraft
LOCATION
Conveniently located near Nashville in Tullahoma, TN
Must be willing to relocate before starting if residence is not within a reasonable commuting distance to Tullahoma.
JOB SUMMARY
The Avionics Technician II will be key in maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading avionics systems for fixed-wing and rotary-wing, elicopter aircraft. This includes the opportunity to work on advanced systems, including Garmin installations and Blackhawk helicopters.
RESPONSIBILITIES
System Installation : Install, update, and modify Garmin and other avionics systems for fixed-wing and rotary-wing helicopter aircraft.
Troubleshooting & Repair : Diagnose and resolve electrical and avionics issues using tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes.
Helicopter Maintenance : This involves inspecting, repairing, and modifying rotary-wing aircraft such as Blackhawk helicopters in compliance with FAA and military-grade standards.
Wire Harness Fabrication : Assemble and maintain wiring systems for avionics components.
FAA Compliance : Ensure detailed logbook entries and adhere to repair station procedures.
Collaboration : Work with the team to enhance aircraft safety and modifications.
REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of 3- 5 years of avionics maintenance with rotary-wing, Blackhawk, or similar helicopter mechanic experience, extensive wire harnessing, and fixed-wing platforms.
Strong troubleshooting abilities with avionics systems using wiring diagrams and schematics
Relevant civilian or military-grade experience in avionics systems and aircraft maintenance or equivalent rotart-wing, helicopter experience.
Military experience in helicopter avionics systems is preferred but not required.
- Veterans will be given preference.
Experience with safety compliance and quality assurance in aircraft maintenance
Familiarity with FAA standards and compliance protocols
Proficiency in Garmin installations (preferred) and aviation electrical systems
Familiarity with avionics test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other equipment.
Experience with Aspen, Genesis, and Aztek systems is a plus!
A proactive mindset and self-motivation with the ability to work independently
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. passport as needed
EMPLOYMENT OPTIONS
I . (3) Full-Time, Contract (1099) Temporary / Temp-to-Hire Positions
Short-term assignments with temp-to-hire options for experienced candidates ready to contribute without training.
Candidates must possess the skills to produce billable hours right away without training.
Upon proving reliability, efficiency, and punctuality, during a 90-day probationary period, opportunities will be available to convert to a permanent position with benefits.
Pay Range : $45-$50 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Benefits : Offered upon conversion to permanent employment
II. (2) Full-Time, Direct Hire Positions
Permanent assignments for less experienced candidates who require more training and supervision.
Pay Range : $25-$32 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
