Responsibilities
Develop accurate cost estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects.
Perform quantity take-offs, create competitive bid proposals, solicit subcontractor and vendor pricing, and oversee bid submissions to ensure compliance.
Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize costs.
Manage project scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination.
Handle RFIs, change orders, and cost tracking throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Conduct site visits and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Lead business development by establishing relationships with architects, engineers, and clients.
Identify and secure new business opportunities while representing the company at industry events.
Qualifications
Candidates must have at least five years of experience in commercial construction estimating and project management.
Strong knowledge of bidding, procurement, and subcontractor negotiations is required.
Experience with self-perform work in concrete or general trades is preferred.
Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift, Procore, Sage Estimating, or similar tools is expected.
Understanding of construction scheduling software, including Primavera P6 or MS Project, is necessary.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.
Business development or client relationship experience is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with government or military projects, including Redstone Arsenal, is a plus.
An OSHA 30 certification is beneficial.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is an advantage.
