Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and sort various scrap metal materials with precision and care.
- Safely operate essential yard equipment after completing proper training.
- Keep the yard clean and well-maintained, contributing to a safe working environment.
- Adhere to safety procedures and consistently wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Provide excellent service to customers and assist co-workers with loading and unloading needs.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by your supervisor to support team operations.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly and safely handle heavy materials.
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions is essential.
- Previous experience in a labor or yard role is preferred, though we are willing to train the right candidate.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team are necessary.
- Must have a reliable mode of transportation and live within a commutable distance.
