Working Hours
Monday - Friday : 7 : 00 am - 5 : 30 pm
FlexibleShifts : 7 : 00 am - 3 : 30 pm, 9 : 00 am - 5 : 30 pm
Occasional Saturdays required; 7 : 00 am - 12 : 00 pm

Job Summary
Hiring a full-time, temp-to-hire Weighstation Operator in Huntsville, Alabama, to start IMMEDIATELY.
Join a winning team and offer expertise in providing direct customer support at scale houses while assisting with waste acceptance for disposal and collecting related tipping fees.
The hiring company's ultimate goal is to offer permanent employment to the perfect candidate. The temp-to-hire period of approximately 90 days (480 hours) is a probationary period to ensure the employee is a good match for the position. If proven to be a valuable employee, punctual, efficient, dependable, with a good work ethic, an offer of permanent employment with a higher pay rate and comprehensive benefits are negotiable.
Essential Functions
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers at scale houses, ensuring excellent customer service.
Manage the operation of dual weighstations efficiently and effectively.
Operate an automated scale house accounting system to calculate disposal charges based on the waste type, quantity, and the established fee schedule.
Accurately process payments through cash, checks, credit cards, or charges to customer accounts.
Maintain accurate records and reports manually and within automated systems, including vehicle counts, times, quantities, and material types.
Balance daily transactions, including cash, checks, and credit card receipts, ensuring accurate reconciliation.
Respond to customer inquiries through phone, messages, and correspondence, providing timely and effective resolutions.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support scale house operations.
Education
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience
Minimum of five years of relevant experience in customer service, waste management, or related field.
Demonstrated ability to operate computerized systems and Microsoft Office Products.
Skills and Abilities
Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with the public.
Proficiency in computer operations, including data entry and transaction processing.
Excellent attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and balancing transactions.
Ability to work independently and efficiently under time constraints.
